About Chanjuan Culture

Connecting cultures. Empowering expression.

An inquiry-based approach to Chinese for families and learners around the world. Start with real situations, ask meaningful questions and build the confidence to express an idea in your own words.

From language to meaningful connection.

Chinese can help a child complete schoolwork. It can also help them describe their life, connect with family and understand other cultures. We value the connection between these purposes.

For Singapore families, school and examination tasks are an important starting point. For heritage and international learners, language environments, practical goals and cultural interests matter too. Support begins with the individual learner.

Our content and learning experiences emphasise clear methods, understandable language and approachable culture. We want learners to understand, express themselves and keep exploring.

Founder

Carrie Huang

Our approach

Make expertise useful to the learner.

Guided inquiry

Begin with a question that matters to the learner. Use clear models and focused feedback to connect a question, the evidence and a reasoned response.

Contextual learning

Learn through family stories, everyday situations and cultural experiences. A family interview or a journey across Singapore gives Chinese a purpose beyond an exercise.

Agency in expression

Give learners room to choose a detail, ask a follow-up question and explain their own view. Build independence through practice, reflection and another attempt.
